The possibility of wildfire increases as the forest vegetation becomes more continuous and dense.
To reduce fire intensity, adequate spacing needs to be created in the vegetation. The recommended practice is to remove and “break up” vegetation to provide separation between trees and vegetation layers
If the vegetation in the area is properly modified and maintained, a wildfire can be confined to the ground.
