- Don’t forget that ongoing maintenance is important at your home – keep those gutters clean, small trees cut, and trees pruned up.
- Grass and shrubs burn too. While we often think about wildfire risk being elevated for homes located in the forest, don’t forget that grass and shrubs can also burn intensely. Our fuels specialists can give you advice about all vegetation in and around your home, including sagebrush and grassland ecosystems. You can also be at risk within city limits – embers can be thrown miles in advance of a fast-moving fire on a windy day.
