More than ever before, homes and communities are located within the wildland-urban interface (WUI), where homes intermingle with wildland vegetation. We have a shared responsibility to understand the risks and mitigate them where possible. You do not need to live in the forest to be involved in a wildfire. We need to help fire fighters protect our homes.
TCFSWG bridges the gap between public land managers and private landowners to improve wildfire risk awareness and reduce risks in and near our communities. Wildfire risk on one piece of property impacts the risk of their neighbors. Therefore, our work benefits the homeowner, their neighbors, and the community.
